School meal prices set for 2016-17

 

Oconee public schools re-open for a new year on Monday, August 15.  School meal prices, with one exception, have been set.  In the elementary schools, reduced price breakfast will cost 30 cents and lunch 40 cents.  Paid elementary breakfast is $1.40 and lunch is $2.05.  In the middle and high schools, the cost for a reduced priced breakfast will be 30 cents and lunch, 40 cents.  Paid breakfast, $1.40, and lunch is $2.25.  Adult prices are to be determined by a notification from the USDA.  All registered students are eligible for the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast programs.  Family Independence recipients, Foster children and those on “SNAP”—Supplemental Nutritional Assistance—are eligible for free meal benefits, but must fill out an application.
