SCHP cruiser broken into

June 27, 2013

A state trooper’s squad car was broken into in Anderson, and the police say several pieces of equipment were stolen. The crime occurred Sunday night at 1311 Highway 29 North when Corp. James Dale Dean left his vehicle to go indoors to complete paperwork. When he returned, the trooper noticed several items missing—including credentials, body armor, a flashlight, and two badges. The Anderson police, who are investigating, say there appeared to be no forced entry to the trooper’s car.
