Scrap plastics recycler bound for Oconee

A realtor says a scrap plastics recycler intends to move to Oconee County. Realtor Justin Mann says the planned move by the company was an agenda item this week for the Oconee County Council. There’s speculation the company will move from Anderson to a warehouse building on highway 123—west of the South Carolina 11 interchange and employ 25 people. Mann says, “The company is a scrap plastics recycler of post industrial/pre-consumer engineering thermoplastics. Over the next several years they will be working to add some of their proprietary separation processes to this location. Those processes include paint separation, multi-layer material separation, electrostatic separation, optical sorting and float/sink.” And he added this, “Stay tuned for more information coming out of the South Carolina Department of Commerce soon.”
