Second hopeful for Walhalla mayor

A second man is declaring his intentions to run this year for Walhalla mayor.  It’s a four-year office to be decided by city voters in November.  The newest candidate is Lakeside Drive resident Dennis Owens.   Owens says he sees good things ahead for Walhalla with Streetscape and the Palmetto Trail and, as a retiree, believes he has the time to devote to what the office requires.  His announcement today pairs him against the incumbent, Danny Edwards, who will bid to be re-elected in the fall.
