Second shelter opens

A second shelter has opened in Oconee. This one at the town of Salem’s Community Center near Town Hall. Especially invited are the many Keowee Key residents who’ve been without electric power since early last night, but town spokeswoman Martin Jennings says this shelter is open to anyone who needs warmth. There are chairs and tables in the building, and coffee will be served.
