Section of Dr. John’s Road off limits

A section of the Dr. John’s Road near Barrett Way has been temporarily closed by the DOT and corrections are being planned for what was a slide caused by a weather-related problem. A temporary detour is being arranged, and the motoring public is asked to proceed cautiously. Mike Smith, DOT resident maintenance engineer, says because of excessive drainage issues across the Upstate, it may take longer than usual to bring together the resources to remediate the section of Dr. John’s. Smith said, “At this time, I would estimate several weeks to contract and execute.”
