Seneca attempts to finalize contract

The events coordinator said this afternoon that Seneca is trying to finalize a contract with the Temptations to secure the famed Motown group as the featured act for Seneca Fest on Memorial Day weekend.  Seneca has offered the group $30 thousand for a one-night performance on the grounds at the Gignilliat Community Center.  Riley Johnson, the events coordinator, said there are “some other things” that the Temptations have requested, and he has left the matters for Michael Smith, the city attorney, to work out.
