Seneca board issues certificate

The owners of commercial corner property in downtown Seneca have the go ahead from city regulators for an addition. After a hearing last night, the Board of Architectural Review awarded E-E Riggs a certificate of appropriateness for work at Ye Old Sandwich Shop and Fudge Factory. “The application was to add metal to the top of the parapet to protect the integrity of the building due to water damage. And the application was approved as submitted,” City Planner Tamy Sanford told 96.3/WGOG NEWS. No one spoke in opposition of the certificate. Speaking in favor were the Riggs, the owners, and their contractor, Tony Nichols.  The commercial properties are located inside the Seneca Historic District.
