Seneca Library to be a DEW connection point

Oconee Public Library has partnered with the state Department of Employment and Workforce to offer unemployment insurance service “Connection Points” to the community. Those connection points allow customers to file claims online, submit weekly claims and conduct job searches. In Oconee County, it will be offered at the Seneca Branch Library on E. South Second Street Monday through Thursday 9 a-m to 8 p-m, and Friday from 9 a-m to 6 p-m. There will be limited service on Saturdays, and the Seneca Branch is closed on Sunday. DEW and its partners are now providing re-employment and unemployment services to all 46 counties through a technology-enhanced approach. A DEW spokeswoman says job service offices, such as the one on Radio Station at Seneca, remain open offering other job-related services.
