Seneca-Oconee coordinating bus expansion

The solution to a portion of Oconee’s population with transportation issues could be the expansion of passenger bus service into rural parts of the county.  A meeting in Seneca this morning addressed an effort to obtain grant money to make the project possible.  County Administrator Scott Moulder said he met with Ed Halbig, Seneca’s point man for “CAT” bus service.  “We, potentially, could get an 80% grant to pay for the bus purchases and we could also submit an ongoing grant for operational purposes on an 80-20 split also,” Moulder told 101/7/WGOG NEWS.
