Seneca plan on track

The leaders of an Oconee municipality that was laid out in the 19th century on opposite sides of a railroad are being told that a city plan in the early 21st century is right on track.  During a work meeting last night, the mayor and city council heard that Seneca’s planning commission is addressing changes in the city’s comprehensive plan.  Ed Halbig, director of planning and community development, said the commissioners want to take the plan “element by element” to assure that the planning guide is where it should be.  And, in answer to a question from Mayor Pro-tem Ronnie O’Kelley, Halbig said he’s confident the plan is what it should be at this time.
