Seneca police locate wanted man in Pennsylvania lockup
A 22-year old man whom the Seneca police had sought in their investigation of a business burglary a year ago has been located in a Pennsylvania jail. The police department’s suspect in crimes committed October 1, 2015 at Riley Motors on E-N 1st Street was returned yesterday and placed in the Oconee jail. Chief John Covington says his department’s warrant officer flew on a Pickens County airplane to Pennsylvania and returned with John Michael Watkins Jr. Watkins faces multiple charges, including grand larceny in the theft of a 2004 Cadillac from the car lot. Covington expressed his appreciation for assistance to the prisoner transportation unit of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
