Seneca restaurateur at the head of the Scott fan club

September 27, 2013

Costas Bakogiannis may live and work in Lindsey Graham country, but it’s South Carolina’s junior U-S senator whom Bakogiannis admires the most. The part owner of Seneca Family Restaurant, Bakogiannis made clear in a 96.3/WGOG NEWS interview that he’s fond of 10-year Senator Graham, but it’s the first-year Senator Tim Scott for which he has much admiration. “I just love everything he stands for right now. He’s doing a job. He was self-employed with the Allstate Insurance Agency and with the real estate agency he was a partner in. I think that he thinks the same way as I do and the way the people do,” he said speaking about Scott. At a recent Oconee Republican Party meeting, it was said that Bokogiannis is such a Scott fan that he would pay the senator just to show up at his restaurant. “I would be honored to have him here,” he said.
