Seneca to acquire the former Hometown

According to an announcement by Greg Dietterick, Seneca city administrator, the developer interested in building an assisted living care project on the property of the former Kellett Elementary School has withdrawn his proposed.  Dietterick says in the future the mayor and council will decide what becomes of the property.  And today, during a noon hour meeting at City Hall, the city is expected to move toward closing a deal to acquire the former Hometown Food Store at 106 N. Walnut Street.
