Seneca to buy two lots on Goddard Avenue

Seneca will spend up to $40 thousand to acquire two lots in Utica. The board of directors of the Seneca Facilities Corporation yesterday voted 5-0 to negotiate the purchase of both 109 and 111 Goddard Avenue. City Administrator Greg Dietterick, who chaired the meeting, said the lots are adjacent to the city’s electric substation, but they’ll also offer access to the city-county industrial park—the former Pro Pex plant off Shiloh Road. One of the lots contains a home, but Mayor Dan Alexander says the city intends to demolish the house.
