Seneca to co-host Marines

In a little more than two weeks, Seneca will play co-host to this year’s visit by U-S Marine Wounded Warriors from North Carolina’s Camp Lejeune. Once again, the public is encouraged to help welcome the Marines on Monday, June 23 by lining the escort route along 123 from Pickens County to the 123-130 intersection at Seneca. The Marines are coming to embark on a few days of rest and relaxation, and they’ll be featured guests for a barbecue plate dinner from 7 to 9 o’clock Tuesday night, June 24 at Seneca’s Gignilliat Field. Plates will cost $5 dollars to offset the cost of hosting the Wounded Warriors.
