Seneca willing to run test routes

Clemson resident Margaret Thompson, critic of “CAT” bus service, commended Oconee County Council last night for asking questions and going about the idea of expanded service in a deliberate way. Thompson’s comments, at the start of last night’s meeting, preceded a status report later from County Administrator Scott Moulder, who chaired a task force that is recommending the county pursue extended bus routes to both Walhalla and Westminster. Moulder last night said that Seneca City Administrator Greg Dietterick said the city is willing to use a spare electric bus to run routes from Seneca to Walhalla and Seneca to Westminster to gauge whether there is sufficient rider interest.
