Seneca Woman Faces Fraud Charges

A Seneca woman faces charges of Food Stamp Fraud. Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Jimmy Watt says 44 year old Carol I. Rogers of Pressley Place, Seneca, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with four counts of food stamp fraud.  Watt says the sheriff’s department received a call from a complainant who alleged that while she was incarcerated, her EBT card had been used multiple times. According to warrants, the investigators determined that Rogers had used the complainants EBT card unlawfully December 30th, 2013 and on January 5th, January 6th, and January 7th of this year at the Wal-Mart location on Sandifer Boulevard in Seneca.
