Senecan offered job on the spot!

Seneca resident Ryan Timmer was offered full-time employment on the spot when he graduated last week as a BMW scholar. Timmer was among the graduates in a ceremony June 11 at the car-maker’s plant in Greer. He’s a 2015 graduate of Tri-County Technical College Mechatronics. The BMW Scholars Program offers the workplace benefits of a traditional apprentice program founded in Germany with the additional advantage of tuition and book assistance. He’s among 27 students from Tri-County, Greenville Technical College, and Spartanburg Community College who are now full-time workers at the plant.
