Service restored UPDATE

Just like the old saying that it’s nice to have a man around the house, it’s nice to be reunited with land line phone service, email, and access to the internet. All were lost for about six hours this morning when, according to Oconee County’s communications officer, Capt. Travis Tilson. “The specifics are not available, but they have assured me that it was simply an equipment failure and there was no interference from outside or no type of malicious action that caused this. It was simply a failure of equipment and technology in that office. They assured me they are going to look at what happened to make sure that it doesn’t happen again,” said Tilson about the A-T-and-T troubles in Seneca took out service to much of Oconee County.
