Sex offender registry violation alleged

A 48-year old man who had made the Facebook page of the Oconee Sheriff’s Office as its Most Wanted Man of the Week was placed into custody Thursday and charged with violation of the sex offender registry.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, David Larry Adams of Chevis Mountain Road, Westminster was required to register in August, yet the registrar had not seen nor heard from him.  Nor did the registrar receive information to indicate that Adams had registered elsewhere.
