Shelter project qualifies for $100K match

The campaign to raise money for an Oconee shelter to protect the abused has raised enough funds to qualify for a $100 thousand match. And the official announcement is to be made next week during a news conference. A Seneca couple, Fran and Bob Hanson, promised they would personally match dollar for dollar up to $100 thousand raised. The Oconee Shelter Campaign credits overwhelming support and efforts from the Oconee County community and throughout the Upstate. By August 15, $687,549 has been raised. That leaves a little more than $300 thousand to meet a $990 campaign goal.
