Sheriff-elect to make public appearances

One week from today the Oconee Sheriff-elect makes a pair of public appearances. Monday, December 10 Mike Crenshaw is to address the Walhalla Rotary Club during its noon hour meeting at the Depot. That night he is to make remarks at South Union to a meeting of the Voice of Southern Oconee. There, at 7 at the South Union Baptist Church, the VOSO’s Gretchen Fuller says, Crenshaw can expect a large crowd of southern Oconeeans, many of whom are concerned about Lake Hartwell home burglaries. The Crenshaw appearances will come three weeks before his new administration takes office. And Fuller says what’ll make the Voice of Southern Oconee meeting even more timely are the concerns over violent crime, such as last week’s discovery of a woman beaten and unresponsive at a public beach at the end of Lakeshore Drive, Fair Play.
