Sheriff’s Office appeals for the publics help

The weekend passed without any arrests in the theft of copper at the construction site for the new Walhalla High School. And, at this point, the Sheriff’s Office has no persons of interest, so there’s a role the public can play in helping solve the crime. Sheriff Mike Crenshaw has placed the value of the stolen copper at $50 thousand or more. According to Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, “We are still asking for tips through Crime Stoppers and if anyone has any information, they can call 864/638-STOP, 1-888/CRIME-SC, or text a tip to 274637.
