Sheriff’s Office stands ready!

Mindful that another potential, heavier snow is on the way, Oconee Sheriff’s Office has positioned itself to be ready to assist the public. “If anyone is in need of law enforcement assistance in the county, please contact the Sheriff’s Office and we will respond to those calls,” says Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “If you have a medical emergency, please call 911 and assistance will be there.” A winter storm watch goes into effect at 6 tomorrow night and, according to the Sheriff’s Office, preparations will be made for normal law enforcement operations during the winter events. The Sheriff’s Office 4-wheel drive vehicles will be used, and it’s possible that squad cars will take on snow tires or chains, or both.
