Shoplifting arrests made by Oconee County

A man from Greenville County and a woman from Anderson County are among the arrests made during the weekend in Oconee County.  According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, the man and the woman stand accused of shoplifting at two local stores on two occasions.  Kevin Christopher Hoffman was booked into the Oconee Detention Center Friday afternoon after being picked up at the Easley Police Department.  The 24-year old Hoffman is accused in warrants of stealing power tools valued at around $727.00 from the Lowe’s location at BI-LO place in Seneca during the morning hours of April 5th.       The second arrest took place Saturday morning, as Anne Mechelle Crouch of Anderson was booked into the Detention Center. The 38-year old Crouch was wanted on a shoplifting warrant charging her and another individual, 51 year old James Anthony Tucker of Highway 81 south, with stealing laundry detergent and clothes hampers January 28 from the Walmart on the Sandifer Boulevard.
