Show compassion, Westminster leaders urged

Westminster City Council took a cue from an audience member and approved a zoning change last night that showed compassion for a woman who moved to Westminster to help care for her mother after fire and storm ravaged the daughter’s home in New York. Catherine Wilbanks asked the city council to show compassion for Lisa Biondillilo and to consider that it should be Westminster’s goal to encourage people to move into its city. After hearing the manager of a manufactured housing business speak of the quality of manufactured homes as compared to trailers, the city council gave unanimous first reading approval to changing the zoning at Bryson Street and Pump House Road from R-25 to general residential.
