SHS students return from Columbia event

Agricultural education students at Seneca High School attended the South Carolina FFA-sponsored State Legislators Appreciation Ceremony last week in Columbia. They were accompanied by Christina Alexander, instructor and FFA advisor, along with student teacher Jessica Brown. The day began with a visit with State Senator Thomas Alexander, Oconee-Pickens Republican, to thank him for his support of agricultural education. Next, they learned aspects of South Carolina agriculture, in visits with State Commissioner Hugh Weathers and Stephanie Fox, director of the South Carolina Soybean Board. FFA provides positive influence to America’s young by developing character and leadership skills and preparing its members for successful careers.
