SHS teacher to further his professional development

A science teacher at Seneca High School, Stephen Hudson, has been chosen as the only South Carolina teacher for a year-long professional development program. As a fellow in the New Science Academy of the National Science Teachers Association, Hudson will join 243 other teachers from across the country in a program that promotes quality science teaching, enhances teacher confidence and classroom excellence, and improves teacher content knowledge. The selection of the 2012 fellows was based on the criteria such as a solid science background and a strong interest in growing as an educator.
