Sign design approved for Westminster

When it comes to Westminster’s official signs welcoming visitors, the city known for the area’s apple crop is undergoing a re-branding. The city council last night approved the design for five new signs that’ll replace worn-down old signs. According to City Administrator David Smith, the signs will be placed at entrances to the city and in front of Rite-Aid Pharmacy—in the heart of downtown. The signs will be blue and gold and feature a unique design, according to Smith. What they will not reflect, however, is the apple. City funds and an outside grant are footing the bill.
