Singletons displaced by home fire

April 29, 2014

Janice and retired Oconee Sheriff James Singleton have been displaced from their home near Seneca by a fire early last night that apparently had its origins with a yard bush set afire with gasoline to exterminate bees. The bush fire was extinguished, but it apparently re-ignited causing heavy damage to the Singletons’ double-wide mobile home inside the Crossroads Volunteer Fire District. No one was injured. Further details during today’s 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
