“Small stuff” remains before new bridge opens

“A DOT official says unless weather interferes, a new bridge over a secondary road near Seneca will open for traffic late next week. And when the bridge on Bountyland Road over a tributary of Richland Creek is ready it will spell an end to the detour that has faced motorists in the vicinity of Foothills Community Church since late February. The DOT’s Tim Callenback, resident construction engineer for the DOT in Pickens County, said the contractor replacing the bridge is Palmetto Infrastructures of Greenville. Callenback’s Pickens office is administering the work for the state.  Callenback says all that’s left to do amounts to “small stuff.”
