Southern Wesleyan to aid Haiti

SWU 2 The economy of the Caribbean nation Haiti is little improved—even after unprecedented foreign aid poured in as relief to earthquake victims there five years ago. Joshua Paul and Todd Voss are among those concerned. Last month Voss, in his capacity as president of Southern Wesleyan University in Central, and Paul, an Upstate physician, Haiti native, and Southern Wesleyan graduate, signed a memorandum of understanding. They hope their effort will lead to lasting solutions aimed at improving Haiti’s economy, in which poverty is widespread.
