Spending items to face Seneca

The mayor and council in Seneca have been told to be ready to vote on several spending matters when they sit down for their regular October meeting, on the night of Tuesday, October 13.  During a work session last night, the elected leaders were briefed on those items by the mayor, the city administrator and three department heads.  They include a one thousand dollar contribution to the homeless shelter, Our Daily Rest, between 17 and 18 thousand dollars from the budget to replace mechanical drive-thru equipment at City Hall, and $4 thousand to replace the air-conditioning in the foyer/lobby of the Gignilliat Community Center.  Utilities Superintendent Bob Faires also said he wants approval of a lease-purchase deal to replace four backhoes that are about 12 years old.
