Spiffy, clean look at Walhalla Middle

October 30, 2012

Thanks to its custodians and others, Walhalla Middle School always sports a clean look, according to its principal, Scott Dixon. Today, however, the approximate 35-year old school building looked especially good, perhaps, in anticipation of a special visitor. Dixon was among a group at the front door this morning to welcome the state’s first-term superintendent of education. Dr. Mick Zais chose Walhalla Middle, Tamassee-Salem Elementary, and Hamilton Career Center as the three Oconee schools at which he is to meet representatives of the education community and take walking tours of the buildings. We spoke to Zais as he started his Walhalla Middle visit, and we’ll replay what he told us today on 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
