SRO’s walking tour reaches Clinton

An Oconee deputy who, during his spare time, is taking a walk across South Carolina says by last weekend he reached Clinton, which puts him 66 miles from the State Capitol in Columbia. From the mountains to Columbia is the first leg of Norman Dukes’ trip. He’s wearing down shoe leather and putting a strain on his feet and legs for a good cause: money which Tamassee-Salem High School can use to provide better education and experience for its students. Tamassee-Salem is Oconee’s smallest high school.  You can help the cause by donating or pledging by calling school resource officer Dukes at 723-3981.
