Stabbing at a home near the Chauga River Bridge

A 32-year old Oconeean was denied bond and remained yesterday in the county jail—the result of a stabbing at a home near Westminster.  The Sheriff’s Office reported one person stabbed—in the arm and in the torso—was sent for treatment at a Greenville hospital.  The Sheriff’s Office identified the man arrested as David Leeland Tanner (left) and the charges against Tanner as attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and burglary first degree.  The Sheriff’s Office investigation centered on an incident at a home on the Johnny Cox Road that started with a knock on the door at that home.
