Governor Haley ordered all state offices and their workers to follow the same winter weather hazard decisions made by county government officials where the state office is located. For Oconee County, the public schools let out at 10, followed by county offices at 10:30, and the courthouse at 11. S-C Emergency Management Division urges drivers to monitor local weather and be cautious. Be aware that black ice is nearly invisible. Be especially careful on bridges, overpasses, tunnels and on secondary roads when the air temperature is changing faster than the pavement temperature. Never break suddenly on ice, and keep your distance.
