State grants occupancy permit

The State Department of Education has approved an essential document pertaining to Oconee County’s newest high school. Steve Hanvey, assistant superintendent for operations, says the district has now received the occupancy permit for the new Walhalla High that is scheduled to open in time for the new school year in August. Having that permit means the district can open the $54 million school to more groups of people, including open house for the public.
