Steve Hanvey gets a bump up!

February 19, 2013

The Oconee Board of School Trustees has chosen long-time educator and administrator Steve Hanvey as the district’s assistant superintendent of education for instruction. Hanvey succeeds Dianne England, assistant superintendent since 2007 and who will retire after nearly four decades in education. Hanvey’s background includes teacher, coach, assistant principal, and district level administrator. Most recently, he served as principal at Walhalla Elementary School. In July last year, he assumed Director of Federal Programs and Professional Development.
