Storm brought outages

Across the Duke Energy Walhalla service territory, power outages required personnel to put in a night of repairs—before all service was restored. A spokeswoman for Duke, B-J Gatten, said, “Those storms resulted in some trees on power lines and stands of line going down….Afterwards there was a blinking problem which was difficult to troubleshoot. It ended up being an equipment problem at the substation.” And that apparently accounts for the experience of one Duke Energy household at the edge of Sertoma Field. At one point the power there came back, only to go off again. Then, for the next three and a half hours, the power was “….on….off….on….off every few minutes.”
