Storm has been a soaker!

The storm that moved from the southeast to the northeast proved to be a soaker for Oconee County. The U-S Official Weather Observer at Walhalla, Barbara Wilson, recorded a drenching of 2.66” plus .39″ in two separate measurements taken over the weekend.  That gives the County Seat more than 7.5″ in December alone.  And other locations in Oconee County received similar or higher amounts.  The Coneross Wastewater Treatment Plant at Seneca recorded 3″ and one homeowner in the Whitewater Falls Road area near Salem measured 4.5″.
