Stormwater fees to impact Clemson

A state mandate is requiring Clemson to implement a permit process for managing stormwater, enforcement, inspections and operating standards. And the Pickens County municipality invites the public for a hearing 7 o’clock Monday night in City Hall council chambers. The city proposes an ordinance to establish a new storm water utility. Proposed so far are flat fees to assess residential units $4 dollars a month and commercial land at $12 dollars a month. Public comment is invited. The Clemson clerk, Beverly Coleman, is accepting written comment.
