Summer grads

Walhalla’s Summer Wood is an example of the newest set of students to have graduated from Oconee County public schools. Summer, who chose to finish high school in fewer than four years, served as special speaker Tuesday as she and 22 other students were graduated in ceremonies at West-Oak High auditorium. Members of the county board, principals and the superintendent presented diplomas to 13 participants. A total of 23 completed diploma requirements over the summer: one from Tamassee-Salem High, three from Seneca, six from Walhalla, and 13 from West-Oak High School.
