Suspect arrested in heat pump theft

No electric power at a church near Seneca led to the discovery that a heat pump had been stolen. In an Oconee Sheriff’s Office investigation the charge of  grand larceny was placed against Jason Lee Trammell, 28 years old. Trammell was jailed Friday afternoon, and the Sheriff’s Office announced a warrant against the Bountyland Community man alleging that, on the same day, he took a heat pump valued at $2 thousand from the Seneca Church of the Nazarene. After the church minister discovered his church had no electric power, officers made their way to a home behind the church where they say they found the heat pump behind a storage building covering by a tarp and trash.
