Swimming Pool agreement proposed

A proposal for Oconee County to provide prison inmates to help Walhalla prepare the city swimming pool to open this year is in the hands of the Oconee County administrator. At City Hall, Mayor Danny Edwards handed County Councilman Wayne McCall a copy of the lease agreement. McCall took that copy to last night’s county council meeting, but did not bring it up during the meeting. Afterward McCall said he gave the copy to Administrator Scott Moulder. In front of McCall last night, Mayor Edwards read several of the terms of the agreement—-an outgrowth of last week’s pool inspection by the state Department of Health and Environmental Control.
