Swinney dismisses freshman; Gamecocks alter O-line

Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney said after practice Wednesday that freshman wide receiver Kyrin Priester is no longer with the team.  Priester, who entered Clemson in January as a true freshman, played on special teams in the opener against Georgia last weekend in Athens. Swinney said the dismissal stemmed from an attitude that was not acceptable to Clemson standards. Swinney also said after practice that graduate cornerback Martin Jenkins was doubtful for Saturday’s game against South CarolinaState due to an ankle injury.

The No. 21 South Carolina Gamecocks step out of conference this week when they host the East Carolina Pirates at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday night and offensively, fans will see some changes. O-Line coach Shawn Elliott says Will Sport will start at right guard over Cody Waldrop, while Alan Knott will be the first team center, taking over for Clayton Stadnik.
