T-bone accident on By-Pass 123

No one was injured in what the police described as a T-bone accident Thursday afternoon in Seneca, but one of the drivers walked away from that accident having been issued three citations. The police say the accident occurred in front of the Wendy’s Restaurant when a Mustang and a Jeep collided. According to Lt. Robert Tribble, the police charged the Jeep driver—Brett Thomas Lovins of Long Creek—with no South Carolina driver’s license, failing to yield right of way, and operating an uninsured vehicle. The charge of no driver’s license landed the 26-year old Lovins in jail, according to the booking report from the Oconee Detention Center. Tribble said a “CAT” bus in the area slowed down or had come to a stop in the vicinity of the accident, but was not involved in the collision.
