Tamassee DAR called an “angel”

Oconee County’s Tamassee DAR School has rated a top ten ranking from the Secretary of State’s Office for organizations that exemplify charitable giving in South Carolina. Each year, Secretary of State Mark Hammond releases a list of scrooges and angels. Making this year’s list of Angels, Tamassee DAR was recognized for applying 81.8% of charitable giving to its program services. On the list of ten scrooges, Hammond’s office cited the Florida-based Law Enforcement Officers Relief Fund for devoting less than one percent of its donations to its program.
