Tech student places first

A Tri-County Technical College sophomore placed first in the Persuasive Speaking Category in this year’s competition of the South Carolina Speech and Theatre Association. Samantha Crowl of Central, criminal justice major, took the highest honor, placing first in the Persuasive Speaking category. Tech was represented by two students in the competition. Besides Crowl, freshman transfer major Nikki Giba of Central also participated. Ten South Carolina colleges took part in the event held at Newberry College.
